BUNDELKHAND INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
It is a constituent college of Uttar Pradesh Technical University and it is affiliated by the A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University and recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education and this college was established in 1986 by the government of up to provide the technical education in the state. It was the fifth government engineering college in the state the first batch of the college admitted in 1989 and graduated in 1993. And the student-faculty ratio is 20:1 and the Campus area is 240 Acres. The director of this college is Prof. V.K.Tyagi.
B.tech degree in Civil, Electronics, and Communication, Mechanical, Computer Science, and Chemical Branches is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.
CS and ME branches have been re-accredited for the three years in 2004 and whereas CE has been accreted for the five years.
Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology- Eligibility and Admission Criteria
BIET eligibility criteria require for B.tech is that the candidate must be passed class 12 from UP board/ CBSE or any other equivalent board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate in Class 12 (40 per cent for SC/ ST candidates).
M.Tech Programmes - The minimum age limit of the candidates is 16 years. Candidate must have passed B.E or B.Tech with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent CGPA. However, the minimum percentage marks for reserved category candidates are 45% marks.
MBA Programmes - For admission to the first year of MBA in institute affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow & MTU, Noida a candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.
Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology - Admission Process
To admission in B.tech is given on the basis of the rank obtained by the candidate in UPSEE-AKTU (Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Admission Test). This exam is conducted by APJ-AKTU. Around 4,50,000 students appear in this exam every year seeking admission to more than 800 engineerings as well as management colleges affiliated to AKTU.
For M.Tech Programme
The exam conducting authority will conduct the admission of UPTU M.Tech through two channels as mentioned below-
- Direct Admission On the basis of GATE Scores- The admission of UPTU M.tech 2020 through this channel will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in GATE 2020. The application form for the same is now available.
- UPSEE Entrance Test For Non-GATE Qualified Candidates- In this admission channel, an offline entrance test will be conducted for candidates who do not have valid GATE scorecards. Thus, in the channel, the basis of admission will be marks secured by the candidates in the entrance test.
For MBA Programme - Admission in MBA programme is made on the basis of State Level Combined Entrance Examination conducted jointly by AKTU, Lucknow and MTU, Noida usually conducted in April. Qualified candidates can take admission in the institute based on their rank via Combined Counselling.
