Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida was established in the year 2001 and has been declared as a "Deemed to be University" under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 in the year 2004.

JIIT - Eligibility and Admission Criteria
For B.tech - The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examinations with at least 55%marks (50%in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and with at least 60% average marks (55%in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category)in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
For B.tech – The Admissions in b.tech will be on both entrance and merit based. For the entrance based admission students need to be appear for JEE Mains. The students who score more than 60% marks in the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for the admission.
The candidates who apply through JEE, have to appear for the counseling by the university. Students will not be admitted through the counseling under CBSE.
For the students eligible to to take admission through merit, the university informed them about the counseling. The merit list of the students will be available on the university campus and on the official website of the university.
For M.tech – For getting admission in M.tech, the university conducts admission based upon the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) & the candidates who appeared on the GATE exam and got valid score also apply for the direct admissions.
Procedure to apply – Students who wants to take admission can apply through online & offline modes. For online for have to go through the official website of JIIT & apply from there.
For the offline mode the students have to visit the official web portal of the Institute, download the application form & after filling it completely send to JIIT through speed post along with the documents and DD.
