Punjab University is a prestigious public university located in Chandigarh, India. Originated in 1882 as the University of the Punjab, it was re-established in 1947 after the partition of India, where the university was split between Pakistan and India.MBA admissions in Punjab for the academic session 2020-22 begin in January/ April 2020 with the online application process for admission to MBA courses. Punjab University-Admission and Eligibility Criteria
  • Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or having 50% marks or aggregate percentage in their degree from a recognized university or a college.

  • Final year students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all the requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion of the program.

  • Shortlist for the interview process will be announced by the respective institute. Only those who are shortlisted will be invited to the interview process (the Group Discussion and Personal Interview). Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to upload copies of necessary certificates by the respective institute.

  • Students applying for the Punjab University should have a valid MAT/CMAT score, if the candidate didn’t appeared for MAT/CMAT, he/she can take the university own exam i.e. PU MET
Domicile Rules-Students aspiring to get admission in government management colleges in Punjab must belong to Punjab state. However, there are no domicile rules for deemed universities and private MBA colleges.
Punjab University-Admission Process
  • PU MET 2020 selection process for the MBA course is based on Written Exam, i.e., PU MET (85% weightage), Group Discussion (7.5% Weightage) and Personal Interview (7.5% Weightage). The results of PU MET 2020 will be announced only after Personal Interview and Group Discussion.

  • Admission to Punjab University is simplein comparison to other states, the candidate just need to apply for management programs in university and appear for any of the entrance tests while scoring apt score for entrance in the university, he/she shall appear for the group discussion and personal interview process.

  • Direct MBA Admission/ Management Quota Admission: Candidates without a valid score in any of the above-mentioned management entrance exams could take direct admission or management quota admission.
