SNAP 2019-EXAM ANALYSIS AND EXPECTED CUTOFF

SNAP 2019 was held on 15th December 2019, paper was comparatively tougher than the previous years.
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) - 2019 was held on 15 December 2019. SNAP is a national level entrance test conducted by Symbiosis group of institutions.  It is an entrance for one of the top B-School in Pune symbiosis and other locations too such as Bangalore and Mumbai. Symbiosis Group of Institutions was established in 1971 and now it’s recognized as a deemed university. Symbiosis is a very recognized and respected institute amongst MBA/PGDM students.  Every year around 50000+ students take part in the SNAP Test. It is the third most famous management test after CAT and XAT.
SNAP entrance test saw some major changes this year, like reduction in the number of questions, and division of questions into MCQs and Non-MCQ questions. Students also saw some questions based on the elections in the GK section in the test, the reasoning was the deciding portion.
Point-wise details to the SNAP-2019
  • Exam Pattern and Scoring Pattern changed
  • Total questions reduced to 115 from earlier 130
  • Questions were divided into MCQs (Normal Questions) and Non-MCQ (Special questions) 
  • Exam Divided into 4 sections with the lowest weightage to Current Affairs (GK) section
  • SNAP 2019 test duration was of 2 hours from 2 PM to 4 PM
  • The variable Scoring pattern in Sections and for MCQs and Special questions also
  • All questions had a negative marking of 25%.
  • 2 RC passages rated moderate
  • Few LR sets were difficult
  • A few GK questions were based on elections
  • Expected Cut off to remain 75-80 Marks

SNAP-2019 Expected Cutoffs
SNAP 2019 is one of the more difficult exams to predict. While there are several reasons which contribute to this change, one of the more significant reasons is the removal of the General Awareness section. Due to this change, the cut off for SNAP 2019 can shift by 4-5 marks however it is likely to be compensated by the increase in the marks allotted for each question in the English and Reasoning section. Therefore the cut off for SNAP 2019 is likely to be around 75-80 although it can shift based on the difficulty level of the SNAP 2019 Paper.
