DON’TS:
  1. Don’t give irrelevant info.
  2. Tell only those things which are asked.
  3. Don’t keep your things (bag, phone, file, etc.) on the table.
  4. Do not sit by across leg.
  5. Don’t ask for a salary by yourself.
  6. Don’t shake hands until and unless the interviewer does it first.
  7. Don’t lie regarding the last firm salary or while giving any other information.
  8. Avoid long pauses.
  9. Don’t keep smiling all the time, neither make serious faces. Be calm and modest.
Some common Ice Breakers:
1. Tell us something about yourself/ introduce yourself?
It is a million-dollar question. You can either drive the interview or else the interviewer will drive you.
Here you need to tell about your qualifications, professional background if any, hobbies, strength.
For instance, you can start with I am……………., at present, I am pursuing my ……………………… I am proficient in subjects………………….. or you can say I have worked in ………………….at the position of ………………. I am good in ………………………… fields( fields of HR, finance, marketing or any other).
My strengths are- good in communication, positive person, flexible, etc.
My weakness……………………………. And my favorite hobbies are………………….
  2. What are your plans for pursuing higher education?
It is to probe into your future retention values to the company. Companies weed out any candidate who is not committed for the long term and want a gap. And also some companies make arrangements for the higher education of their valuable employees.
 3. What has been the toughest challenge you have faced in your life?
Give an honest reply and how you come over it. This is asked in order to judge your personality. So be loyal, true and fair.
4. What are your strengths?
Do enumerate both your personality mostly strengths. Don’t forget to state examples. Sometimes you can make your strengths your weakness and weakness to strengths.
5. Do you have any problem staying late in the office or working on holidays as required?

  • What jobs you have held?
  • Why did you leave your last job?
  • Describe the nature of the duties you have performed?
Questions to check Emotional Maturity:
  • Which do you think is more important – individual brilliance, team effort or hard work?
  • A lot of candidates with much more better marks have also applied for this job, why should we consider you instead of them?
Some More Important Question:
  • Why are you interested in this job?
  • What do you know about the work culture and goals of the company?
  • Do you prefer working with others or by yourself?
  • How much money do you hope to earn at the age of forty?
  • Tell anything you have done to prove that you possess initiative and willingness to work?
  • What salary do you expect?
  • Have you any other dependents normally residing with you?
The above questions are usually the final question in the interview and should be seized by the candidate to show his interest in knowing the organization better and clarify any concerns he/she has.
