Great Lakes Institute of Management, also known as GLIM is a premium B-school in Detroit of India, Chennai. GLIM Chennai campus was founded in 2004 and Noida campus was founded in 2011. GLIM is accredited by AMBA. GLIM has maintained its presence since the time of its establishment, and its ranked 18th on the NIRF ranking of best MBA colleges in India, 2019. Great Lakes are also accredited by SAQS which is South Asian Quality Assurance System.
GLIM-Admission and Eligibility Criteria
- All PGDM applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for Great Lakes Admission for PGDM 2020-22 Batch
- Only Fresh Graduates and candidates with less than 24 months of work experience after graduation as on 30th June 2020 are eligible to apply. Candidates with greater than 24 months of work- experience should apply for the Great lakes one year PGPM program.
- Internship or part time work experience is not considered. Only full time work experience is considered. However, full time work experience as an entrepreneur or in family business will be taken into account.
- All PGDM applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT/XAT /CMAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.
- Great Lakes award a special preference for College / University rank holders. The onus of proof of rank is vested in the applicant.

GLIM-Admission Process
- Candidates who are matching eligibility criteria at Great lakes Institute of Management can apply to their PGDM or PGPM courses, whosoever is more suitable for them by their online portal before the application date closes.
- Candidates who are applying for programs at GLIM can choose offline as well as online method, either they can fill the online application form with 2000 Rs. Or they can fill the offline form in their centers and send it to Chennai office. However, the eventual application process is online for all candidates.
- Candidates applying for 1 Year PGPM program at GLIM, Chennai should provide the official E-mail id of the recommender, and if the candidate got selected for the final admission than the recommender need to provide the official recommendation letter to the B-school.
- Moving to next step, candidates who have applied for any programs at GLIM will be short listed for the Interview, on the basis of their entrance score and certain other measures like work experience(in case of PGPM), Graduation and school scores etc.
- After that is concluded, admission is issued to the qualifying student. The final selection is provided to applicants on the basis of many factors such as entrance exam score, PI round, quality of work experience etc.
