Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai is a B-School located in Sri City, Chennai.  IFMR offered a 2-year PGDM program which is accredited by AICTE till 2016. Currently it offers a 2-year MBA program. IFMR was established in 1970, and the college is been in top notch colleges since its birth. IFMR is also accredited by AICTE.
IFMR-Admission and Eligibility
  • Applicants should have been born on/after 1st January 1993 and on/before 31st December 2000.

  • IFMR eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration, with a consistent good academic record with 1st class marks or equivalent CGPA

  • The candidate should be registered for CAT 2019/XAT 2020/CMAT 2020 or GMAT/GRE (GMAT & GRE (taken on / after 1st January 2017).

  • A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for IFMR Admission 2020.

  • Graduates from a full time degree course, but NOT Part time/ correspondence/ distance mode/ online mode in any discipline with consistent academic record; Candidates pursuing final year degree are eligible to apply.

  • Work experience is NOT mandatory, but those with work experience should have less than or equal to 3 years of experience as on 1st December 2019.

IFMR-Admission Process
  •  Apply and appear in at least one of the entrance exams – CAT 2019; XAT 2020; CMAT 2020; GMAT or GRE (Taken on or after Jan 1, 2017)
  • The candidate should apply to IFMR online by using the application form. The expected application fee of Rs.1500/- can be paid online.
  • Candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) round from among the eligible candidates who have a valid entrance exam score, good academics and qualify on other parameters and have applied to the program of IFMR. The PI-WAT process will be conducted in the months of February/March 2020.
  • After the PI round, admission offers are made by IFMR to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Work Experience among others
  • Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the April 2020 on the basis of Final Score arrived after awarding the weightage scores on all the components.
