National institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai is a premium b-school located in the business capital of the country, established in 1963, the college was firstly focused on industrial engineering but later NITIE moved on to various fields of engineering. NITIE is ranked number one institute for MBA in operations in country since many years. NITIE is ranked 29th in NIRF ranking of best MBA colleges in India 2019.
NITIE- Admission and eligibility criteria
- NITIE is determined to polish engineering graduated in the field of management. Candidates should have an Engineering/Technology graduation degree in any branch with aggregate 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PD candidates).
- Candidates who are currently in their final year of Engineering/Technology degree can also apply.
- Few seats in this program are for Sponsored candidates. The sponsored candidates should be from reputed an Industrial Organization/Academic Institution with at least 2 years of work experience.
Eligibility for fellow program
- Masters degree or equivalent in Engineering/ Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Science, Life sciences and Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) from recognized University/ Institution, CA/ ICWA and ACS.
- Candidates appearing for their final examination in the respective disciplines can also apply.
- Candidates from Industry / Academia with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience may also apply. They need to produce sponsorship certificate from the employer.

NITIE-Admission Process
- After getting shortlisted on the basis of CAT score, the selection process of NITIE Mumbai will take place in the form of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates who have filled the NITIE Mumbai application form and satisfy the minimum eligibility shall only be invited for GD and PI.
- Indian candidates are shortlisted for the group discussion and personal interview process based on valid CAT scores. International candidates are shortlisted for the group discussion and personal interview process based on GMAT scores, IELTS/ TOEFL (applicable for foreign candidates) and 60 percent aggregate marks in the qualifying degree. Shortlisted candidates are called to the institute campus for the GD and PI process.
For PGDIE/PGDMM/PGDPM
- Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their GATE scores.
- The shortlisted candidates are then called for a round of Group Discussion and Personal Interview
For PGDIM/PGDISEM
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CAT score.
- The shortlisted candidates are then called for a round of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
