Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies is the department of management at the University of Mumbai. The institute is named after industrialist and philanthropist Jamnalal Bajaj. But Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) is a private institute. University offers PG and Doctoral Programs in Management Stream. It is especially known for its post-graduate management program the department was set up in 1965 by the University of Mumbai in association with the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. JBIMS Admissions are based on the score of MH CET/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ CMAT / ATMA.
JBIMS- Admission and Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates filling application program for the management courses with JBIMS must hold a bachelor’s degree at the time of submitting the application, the fees for applications is 2000 Rs.

  • Candidates must have secured 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in class 10th and 12th from a recognized board.

  • Candidates should have completed 3-year graduation degree with 50% marks from a recognized university. Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.

  • JBIMS will consider aggregate scores and not sectional scores of the applicants in the acceptable entrance exams for short listing.

  • Post short-listing on the basis of available scores, applicants will be called for the final selection round (WAT & PI Round) at the designated centre..

JBIMS Admission through CAP (Centralized admission Process) (Admission Procedure)
         
  • Each Maharashtra State candidate who appears in MAH CET will be assigned a State level Merit number on the basis of percentile/scores obtained in MAH CET. The Non- Maharashtra state candidates who appear in CAT or MAH CET will also be assigned a State level Merit number on the basis of their scores/percentile, as mentioned in the score-cards. 

  • The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of MAH CET scores. Thereafter, shortlisted candidates are asked to appear for a counseling round conducted by MAH CET conducting body- DTE. The counseling process assigns management seats in the MAH CET participating B-schools on the basis of their ranks

  • For the current academic year, DTE will conduct total four rounds of Centralized Admission. The CAP will consist of three rounds by Centralized Allotment wherein eligible candidates have to fill separate online option forms for respective rounds. The fourth round of CAP will be conducted through counseling only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates.

  • Seats will be allotted to students as per the merit, and as per the options filled in the counseling forms, and the number of seats available at the stage of CAP rounds- One, two and three. Candidates securing allotment are required to confirm the admission by reporting at the institute mentioned in the allotment along with the original certificates.
