BIMTECH-ADMISSION PROCESS, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND OTHER DETAILS
Birla Institute of Management and Technology, Greater Noida is a premium B-school in Greater Noida. The college was established in 1988, The Institute was founded under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. BIMTECH is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), as well as NAAC, BIMTECH was ranked 57 on the NIRF ranking of best MBA colleges in India in 2019. BIMTECH Greater Noida has opened its admission process 2020 for all the four Post Graduate Program in Management.
BIMTECH-Admission and Eligibility Criteria
- BIMTECH has got two broad categories for admission 2020. 90 percent seats in all programs are filled through merit category (General/Minority).
- 85 percent seats in all programs are filled through merit/ general category while 5 percent seats are filled through ESCS (Economically & Socially Challenged Students) Category - (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Minority Communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians/Parsis & Jains)) to bring social diversity in the class.
- 15% Concession to SC/ST and 5% Concession to OBC/Minority Communities/EWS in Hostel Accommodation Charges will also be given under this category.
- For the candidates under merit category, valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT and good performance in further selection stage is must. Rest 10 percent seats are open for Corporate/NRI sponsored & NRI candidates. For these candidates, valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT is not a mandatory condition. However they have to go for other selection process and compete among their peer group. They also need to download the specified format from website appropriately, fill it up, get it signed and submit to the Institute with other documents as mentioned on the official website of BIMTECH, Greater Noida.
- Additional, 27 seats are reserved under Supernumerary category for People of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Nationals (FN)-International/SAARC Nationals/Gulf Quota/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) in PGDM program only where candidates will have to submit proof of their status as PIO/OCI/Foreign Nationals/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries.

BIMTECH-Admission Process
- Register and apply for at least one of the entrance exams – CAT 2019; XAT 2020; GMAT 2019-20 for PGDM & PGDM (IB) For PGDM (Retail Management) and PGDM (Insurance Business Management), applicants can also register and apply for CMAT 2020 and MAT 2019-20
- The candidate should also apply online to BIMTECH Greater Noida separately, by using the common application form. Application form is made available on BIMTECH website. The application fee of Rs.2000 can be paid online through Debit/Credit card.
- Complete the BIMTECH application form. In the ‘Application Form‘the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, and Entrance Exam Registration ID. More than one test ID can be submitted. The early applicant is required to update later the test scores he/she wishes to submit when the result is declared.
- Early Applicants who apply by December 2, 2019 are called for PI-WAT process in the third week of December. This early stage selection process provides a candidate an opportunity to appear for the final selection process with relative ease.
- All the Candidates who apply late are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI) round from among the eligible candidates who have a valid entrance exam score and have applied to the program of BIMTECH. The second round Personal Interview process will be conducted in the months of February/March 2020.
- After the PI round, the merit list will be out, tentatively in the second week of March 2019. The admission offers will be made by BIMTECH, Greater Noida to successful candidates only. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Work Experience among others
