IRMA-ADMISSIONS PROCESS, ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND OTHER DETAILS

Institute of Rural Management Anand, often referred to as IRMA is a premium B-Schools situated in Anand district of Gujarat, Established in 1979 the college provides Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) Program at IRMA is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  IRMA 2020 is to be held on first week of February 2020, Interested candidates have to apply for IRMA SAT i.e., Social Awareness Test 2020 in order to get admissions for the PGDRM program. The founder of co operative brand AMUL and father of White Revolution Varghese Kurien was the founder of IRMA. IRMA 2020 exam will be held for 240 seats.
IRMA- Admission and Eligibility Criteria
  • Qualification:  Candidates who have graduated from any of the discipline, with the education of minimum of 15 years i.e., 10+2+3 sequence and must have scored an aggregate mark of 50% or more are eligible to apply for the IRMA 2020.  Those candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD must have scored an aggregate mark of 45% or more in their graduation or bachelor's degree.

  • Final Year:  Candidates who are pursuing the final year of their graduation degree can also apply for the IRMA but they must complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st July 2020.

  • Exam:  The candidates must have written either CAT 2019 or XAT 2020 exam.

  • NRI:  The NRI or NRI sponsored candidates or overseas citizen of India (OCI) Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) should have written GRE or GMAT or CAT 2019 or XAT 2020 and must have an eligible score. 

  • Minimum Score:  The candidates must have scored 80% or above in CAT or XAT are selected and those candidates are allowed to write IRMA SAT after which the group activity (GI) and Personal Interview (PI) is conducted on the same date which will be informed to the candidate through the admit card.

  • Age limit:  There is neither any age limit to apply for the IRMA SAT exam nor any limit towards applying for IRMA

IRMA- Admission Process
Key points-
  • Two short listing criteria - Profile Based and Non-Profile Based  Introduced
  • IRMA will use CAT 2019 and XAT 2020 scores to shortlist candidates
  • Short listing will not be based on IRMA Social Awareness Test (IRMASAT)
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called to appear in IRMASAT 2020
  • IRMASAT, an exam on ‘Issues of Social Concern’ will be held at IRMA at the time of interview and will be one of the components in final selection process.
The admission process undertaken by IRMA is –

  • Apply and Appear in CAT 2019/XAT 2020
    The candidate must have appeared or have registered to appear and score the minimum required percentile in CAT 2019/XAT 2020

  • Register and Apply for IRMA Admission
    Then you must register and apply online for admission to IRMA. While applying, the applicant is required to pay the application fee. You need to follow the sequence of all stages after editing to ensure proper data entry. Any editing is possible before final submission. After final submission, it will not be possible to edit the application form.

  • Shortlist
    The first short listing includes the candidates, short-listed for Interview round on the basis of their profile. The second short listing includes the candidates shortlisted on the basis of their entrance exam score. 

  • Take IRMASAT & Attend PI Round
    After the Short listing process, all the profile based or non-profile based shortlisted candidates have to appear in IRMASAT, Group Activity followed by Personal Interview. The process will be held at IRMA.

  • Final Admission Offer
    Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the last week of April/First week of May 2020 on the basis of Final Merit Score
