Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi is a Jesuit run business school in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It was established as an extension department of St. Xavier’s college, Ranchi in 1955, Xavier Institute of Social Service was established in 1955 as a center for social service at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. It was named after the Francis Xavier. XISS Ranchi is accredited by AICTE. In 1973 the institute was registered as a separate educational society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

XISS-Ranchi-Admissions and Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities
- Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2019-20 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their Graduation examination with 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) by August 2020
- Preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.

XISS Ranchi-Admission process
- Register and apply for at least one of the entrance exams – CAT 2019; XAT 2020; CMAT, MAT.
- Complete the XISS Ranchi application form. In the ‘Application Form’ the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, and at least one of the following IDs: ID for CAT-2019 OR ID for XAT-2020, CMAT, and MAT. More than one test IDs can be submitted. The applicant is required to fill the IDs of the test scores he/she wishes to submit.
- If you application form gets approved by XISS Ranchi, than a call or mail will be scheduled and details regarding the same will be forwarded, and the candidate would need to appear on the date, time and venue given by the XISS Ranchi board for written test, and GD/PI. The GD?PI and written test and Interview will be conducted in two phases which will be in first in cities across India like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Guwahati and Ranchi and then the selected candidates will be examined in Ranchi.
- Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates on the date assigned to them on the basis of Final Score arrived after awarding the weight age scores on all the components such as entrance test scores, post-academic records and GD/PI.
