Verbal Aptitude and Reading Comprehension section in every other management entrance test are to be seen as the scoring section, and at some extent it is true but not 100% true.   • Practice Grammar. Increase familiarity with grammatical norms, and try to solve as much questions as you can based on grammar and its parts like speech, active/passive voices on daily bases. Grammar in VA-RC does not play a huge role but it definitely plays a significant role in scoring a respective score which would get you into the colleges of your choice. You can practice grammar by handing some basic grammar books and then practicing it as much as you can. Understanding the tone is also very important when it comes to understanding the comprehension, so you need to practice that too.

  • Increase your vocabulary. There are such terms used in the RC section that are hard to comprehend the actual tone and meaning of the same, try to learn new terms and where and how it is used. Words are mightier than the sword, believe me it’s true, some words are so tough to comprehend you might even never heard of it, so what can you do about it, well, you can surely increase your vocabulary by some editorial columns of respected newspapers like The Hindu or The times of India and also online blogs and articles and learn new words through them, also you can take help of certain vocabulary development books.

  • Be Aware. It is observed that many a times the content in the RC part is related to some current topics in news, sports, literature etc so you should read newspapers on daily basis; it will improve your reading too, and may be it would be helpful in the GD-PI round.
